April (She/Her/Hers) has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She graduated with honors from Florida State University with a Master's in Clinical Social Work in 2010 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2015. The majority of her work as an LCSW has been obtained through her role as a director of a Community Service Board tailored to serving Metro Atlanta's mental health needs. She has developed several programs in her career as a licensed clinician, including a community-based program serving young adults experiencing their first episode with psychosis.
Throughout her career, April has remained dedicated to helping individuals overcome their mental health challenges. She has become particularly passionate about working with trauma and the correlations between trauma and mental health. In 2024, April transitioned into private practice, where she specializes in addressing trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, dissociation, difficult life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) models. With her combination of experience, passion, and compassion for her clients, April has assisted many individuals on their journey to reaching their full potential and living their best lives.
