Emma Voss (She/Her/Hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. She was drawn to the counseling profession after volunteering with youth and families affected by domestic violence and trauma. Emma began her counseling journey with a focus on child-centered play therapy, studying at the GSU Play Therapy Institute to better support children in crisis. She now works with children, teenagers, adults, and families, creating a safe and supportive space for growth and personal development.

Emma’s primary areas of expertise include anxiety, perfectionism, and self-esteem/identity concerns in adolescents and adults. She is an affirming provider for LGBTQ+ individuals and has conducted training for community-based therapists on LGBTQ+ inclusive counseling practices. Additionally, Emma offers play therapy and parenting sessions for children and their caregivers, addressing emotional and behavioral challenges. She supports children struggling with anxiety, adjustment to change, communication, and emotion regulation at home and school.

Emma primarily uses a person-centered counseling approach to understand the unique circumstances shaping each individual’s behaviors, emotions, and patterns of perception. Depending on a client’s needs, she incorporates additional techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support their counseling goals.
