Ganel Adams (She/Her/Hers) is a therapist at our Lawrenceville office and also provides telehealth appointments.
Ganel earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Georgia State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Public Health from the University of Georgia.
In addition to her role at GAFC, Ganel works with the Gwinnett County School System as a Certified School Social Worker. Her diverse experience with children, teenagers, and families has given her deep insight into the psychological, developmental, and social needs of children.
As a therapist, Ganel utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Play Therapy.
She works with young children (ages 7 and up), teenagers, and families to provide tailored support.
Outside of work, Ganel is an enthusiastic cook and enjoys traveling.
