Kim Powers (She/Her/Hers) earned her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Clayton State University in 2024. She has a background in Applied Behavior Analysis as a Registered Behavior Technician, working with children diagnosed with autism.

Kim is cross-culturally responsive and welcomes individuals from all cultures and backgrounds. She integrates clients' unique cultural experiences into informed, tailored interventions to better support their needs.

Kim utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by creating a nurturing, child-friendly environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions. She focuses on building resilience, enhancing emotional regulation skills, and empowering young minds to achieve lasting positive change. With Trauma-Focused CBT, Kim prioritizes safety, compassion, and healing, offering a supportive space for trauma recovery, essential tools to manage trauma-related stress, and guidance for children and teenagers on their journey to well-being. Additionally, she incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to nurture emotional well-being, strengthen interpersonal skills, equip young individuals with effective coping strategies, and foster self-discovery and growth.

In her free time, Kim enjoys listening to music, coloring, and watching shows on streaming platforms. She cherishes spending time with her loved ones and her cats, who always keep her on her toes.
