Masona Fofana (She/Her/Hers) is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Northwestern University. She believes that having a space where one can simply exist and feel supported is incredibly important. Through counseling, her mission is to empower individuals to embrace their authentic identities. She is particularly dedicated to ensuring that individuals from minority backgrounds and with layered intersectionalities feel seen and understood.
In her practice, Masona prioritizes emphasizing strengths and fostering a sense of community throughout the therapeutic journey. Upon graduating next year, she aims to serve young adults and children in Atlanta, Georgia, utilizing an identity-focused approach while drawing from Adlerian theories and Experiential Emotion therapies.
