Nefesh (She/Her/Hers) is an Omnist (accepting of all spiritual beliefs and those with none at all) Chaplain with extensive experience bridging divides across religion, class, race, educational background, ability, and sexual and gender identity. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and Pidgin Signed English (PSE), she incorporates diverse therapeutic modalities into her work, including music, mindfulness, movement, Reiki, and therapy animals. She currently serves as a Reiki Master and Hospital Chaplain while pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, her second master’s degree, set to be completed in 2025.
Her professional experience spans hospice care, hospital chaplaincy, bereavement coordination, and educational roles. She is certified in yoga instruction, meditation, herbalism, aromatherapy, and CPR. All of which brings a compassionate, culturally competent approach to her work.
Nefesh is available for both telehealth and in-person appointments and offers a sliding scale fee for individual and couple’s therapy. Nefesh sees female teens and adults in person in Decatur on Mondays. Telehealth Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10 am - 3 pm & 7-10 pm.
