Rachel Lane (She/Her/Hers) is a Master of Social Work (MSW) intern in her final semester at the University of Georgia, set to graduate in May 2025. Originally from Louisiana, Rachel earned her undergraduate degree in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University at Shreveport in 2019. She then worked as a mitigation investigator for a defense firm in Baton Rouge, LA, from 2020 to 2024. Mitigation work unveiled to Rachel how significant life experiences shape one's perspective of themselves and the world around them, often leading to habits that may do more harm than good. Undoing these harmful habits, thought processes, and lifestyles can be challenging, but, it can be done by replacing the old habits with new ones.
Rachel is passionate about equipping clients of all ages with the tools necessary to achieve their goals and enhance their well-being. She is currently accepting clients via telehealth who may benefit from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other similar therapeutic approaches. If you are eager to strengthen your self-esteem, discover what brings you joy, alleviate stress, or address other concerns, Rachel might be the right fit for you. Together, you can identify the root causes of your issues and tailor a strategy to modify your responses based on what is within your control.
Outside her academic and professional life, Rachel enjoys playing musical instruments, exploring the outdoors with her dog, Mars, and cooking new recipes that feed her soul.
