Rich holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, and additional certifications in conflict management, spiritual direction, and EMDR training. His experience is broad and diverse—he has served in hospitals, churches, and cross-cultural settings, working with individuals from all walks of life. From teaching English to the Shipibo people in the Amazon to working with Buddhist monks in Thailand, Rich has a heart for connection, healing, and advocacy.
Rich specializes in trauma recovery (including religious trauma and church hurt), mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. He is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and trainer, equipping individuals and couples with tools for healthier relationships.
