Tiara Jones (She/Her/Hers) is a Licensed Master Social Worker who provides therapeutic support through virtual/telehealth and in-person appointments at our Decatur and East Cobb locations.
Tiara earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Georgia State University and a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Clinical Practice from Saint Leo University. She was drawn to the field of social work by her desire to help individuals navigate difficult life circumstances and provide emotional support for those experiencing mental health challenges. Tiara joined our practice in 2024 as an associate licensed therapist under clinical supervision, following more than five years of experience in medical social work within nursing home and hospice settings.
Tiara specializes in individual counseling for adults seeking support for concerns related to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, adjustment to life stressors or transitions, personal growth and development, and low self-esteem. She is dedicated to establishing therapeutic relationships with her clients that are strengths-based, collaborative, and client-centered. Tiara takes a compassionate, reflective, and inquisitive approach to offer encouragement and empowerment as clients work toward their mental health goals.
She helps clients achieve their goals through techniques derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Additionally, Tiara has completed intensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and is in the process of becoming an EMDR-certified clinician.
